Occupational therapy services
RE-OT provides assessment and rehabilitation for adults and adolescents with acquired neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, Functional Neurological Disorder and other neurological conditions.
Initial assessment and reporting
We provide comprehensive, functional occupational therapy assessments conducted in the environments where our clients live, work and spend their time. Assessments address cognitive, physical and psychosocial function and their impact on everyday activity, roles and independence.
For litigated cases, we provide a detailed initial assessment report with clear recommendations, treatment goals and cost estimates, followed by structured progress reports at agreed intervals throughout the rehabilitation programme.
Goal-directed neurorehabilitation
Rehabilitation programmes are built around goals that matter to the client. Depending on individual needs, intervention may include:
- Cognitive rehabilitation — practical strategies for memory, attention, planning, and executive function, embedded in daily routines
- Fatigue management — understanding contributing factors and building sustainable, personalised fatigue management plans
- Daily living skills — restoring independence in personal care, home management, community access and travel
- Physical function — addressing the impact of weakness, sensory change and altered tone on meaningful activity
- Psychological adjustment and wellbeing — supporting engagement, confidence and identity following neurological injury
- Work, study and vocational goals — where returning to work or education is a client’s goal, we integrate this into the rehabilitation programme, working with employers, education providers and the wider team on graded and supported returns
Working within the MDT
Many of our clients have complex needs and large support packages. We are experienced in working as part of extensive multidisciplinary teams, contributing to shared goal-setting and MDT reviews, and in guiding support workers and rehabilitation assistants to deliver consistent, therapy-informed support between sessions.
